Hello all,

I haven’t written for some time because our household has been rather crazy during the month of August. Steve is still trying to heal from the clot that accumulated in his knee, still using a crutch, and still in a lot of pain. He saw the doctor again today and the doctor gave him a cortisone shot in his tendon.  Steve said it was very painful.  The doctor also scheduled him for an MRI to see what is causing the problem in his knee. Most people heal from knee surgery in about six weeks. Steve is going on four months. My asthma has finally cleared up.  It was a rough time trying to be able to breathe and not to cough constantly.  We appreciated all your cards, words of encouragement and prayers.

Brian’s girlfriend and her two-year-old son are staying with us temporarily. It is very interesting having a two-year-old in the house again. Our house has not been set up for children for many years so I am always on the lookout for something that could get broken or damaged, and putting it out of harm’s way.  I brought out some of the boys’ toys I had saved and he enjoys playing with those.  We are settling into a routine and he seems to be feeling a little bit more at home here which is so important for his stability.

Brian continues with his therapy.  He has not seen any new changes yet but we know that continued therapy will keep him strong.  He has finally said when he gets up it will be a combination of co to used therapy, electronic intervention and God’s grace.  Please continue to pray that these all come together for him.  We go back to KKI in November and hope we find out some new interventions.

Love,

Dawn

    Dear Dawn,
Thank you for the news. We are relieved asthma is better. So sorry Steve’s recovery is long. He sure doesn’t need that. May God have mercy and bring healing and total restoration to you all in the Name of Jesus! Keep us informed. You are always in our morning and evening prayers. May God bless you all. Amen
